one day, many many years from now when i have my future kid, i'm gonna get a tattoo of three magpies. (it's referencing a sortuv obscure nursery rhyme about magpies: "one for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl, four for a boy, five for silver, six for gold, seven for a secret that's never been told.") this is because i'm going to have a girl. i don't know what i'd do with a boy child, except raise him as a girl and cause massive mental trauma to shim, after which hilarity would ensue. and incarceration. but hilarity first.
