Its all happening in the news lately. The Cought Sadam and have promised him a fair and public trial for killing people with biological weapons supplied by US companies and delivered in missiles supplied by US companies.
Dont get me wrong, I dont support the prick in any way, but where is the consistency for the Taliban soldiers in custody at Guatanamo Bay.
The Aussie lad captured with them was finally allowed access to his lawyer last week - after 2 years in custody without any charges being laid.
He and the others are to face a Military Tribunal. Which I dont quite understand - they are not afforded the rights of Prisoners of War - because the US didn't declare war on Afghanistan. Just invaded it and overthrew the government. Prety much what the Russians were trying to do in the 80's when half the world boycotted the Moscow Olympics.
At least our government has made an agreemant that he won't face the death penalty.
Sorry to be venting tonight, but it really gets under my skin. I see the whole Afghanistan and Iraq thing as a business opportunity and a smoke screen to hide the fact that the Saudi Royal Family are up to their elbows in 911 blood.
Time to take my medication now.
