Weekend: COMPLETELY DESTROYED!!!
Muahahaha, now THAT was a complete weekend. And what a good start, on Friday I was delighted to find I'd got my tax return. Thus begin the spending spree!
You have aquired [Nintendo DS Lite]x1!
Yep I bought me a DS Lite friday night after work, picked up Mario Kart DS and Final Fantasy 3, previously unreleased here on these shores! Then come Saturday I added to the library with MechAssault: Phantom War, LUNAR: Dragon Song, and the amazing PUZZLE QUEST!!! So if you got one of these delightful time devourers let me know and we'll try to get some crazy WiFi action going!
But oh no, it doesn't end there! I also picked up a wireless controller for Guitar Hero, now I can jump aound and make a fool of myself while I pretend to be a rock legend.
More comics! I bought some more Exiles back issues, and some Supergirl just to check out the series, if I like it I may add it to the usual list to pick up.
And how's this for old school nerd purchases? DragonBall Z season 1 (a.k.a. The Vegeta Saga), remastered, unedited, and on DVD! And a game compilation I never heard of until I saw it in the bargin bin: Sonic Mega Collection Plus. So many Sonic games my old school gamer nerd brain center shut down for a sec.
Plus there was a late Easter Celebration at the Grandma's house, got to see the whole extended adopted family. And I feel tons more comfortable around them so I actually walked around and talked this time, haha! Had a great session of D&D, two really but I ran one and played in one. And well the second one ended in mass confusion and murder, one PC out of five survived, messy encounter. Then hanging out with The Beard (a.k.a. Steve) and hitting AppleBee's for some of the best food and service I've ever had there. Then just good fun hang out time, quiet relaxing laugh-a-thon at home with everyone.
Yes indeed, weekend complete. Now back to the lame Mon-Fri scene with the work place in it. And currently I'm all alone and just keep looking at the bed, wishing there was someone in there waiting for me to curl up next to them and drift off to sleep happily, a dark mass of hair on the pillows. One day I'll find my cute nerdy girl!
