I am a francophile (one that likes french culture and so on) and applied to join SGFrance, only to have that application ignored. Not denied but ignored. I don't understand why someone would be like that. The group owner has not responded to the messages I sent. Originally, I sent a message to explain why I wanted to be in the group, then I sent a couple to find out why nothing was happening with the application. Now I am just irritated. This has been over the course of a couple months; it's not like I sent a message and then followed up six hours later. I gave it weeks.

SG groups are often poorly managed--it's quite possible that the group owner hasn't been online in all that time. There's not much you can do about it. On the other hand, this is hardly the only resource on the web for french language study. You should look for language exchange sites.
