it's sunday do you know where your receiving staff is?

we got big goings on this week in the drama that is my job. so a little back ground. a week ago the lead receiver at my old store down in gretenwood village was caught throwing out some of his shippment. this little 19 year old kid was tossing out boxes because he was overwhelmed. wow. that sucks. of course i don't know how sympathic i can be being it was the store that couldn't keep me busy. turns out that was signing for the shipment each day, then throwing out some of the small boxes. just to catch up as it were, and one of the managers went out and looked in the dumpster and found the boxes. the kid comes back into the store (probably out at lunch) and sees the manager on duty hauling these boxes back in. the kid asks what is going on, and zak says he's bringing the dumped boxes back in, the kids says "oh, so i doesn't look like i have job anymore..."

so the kid does a phone interview with our regional loss prevention guy and admitts to maybe 16 grand worth of loss from him throwing away boxes. so the wqhole management staff gets written up. hector our loss prevention guy keeps calling the kid in, and get this, the kids comes back to talk to hector again and again. blood is starting to flow through the district now. the store manager is getting susepended pending termination (which is funny because she had oral surgery that week and wasn't around) comes out that the kid had been throwing boxes away since december. since fucking christmas!! holy fucking shit. even at the worst of times i had to leave a couple boxes but fuck. since christmas! what a little shit! grand total of loss is now upwards of 200 grand.

holy shit....

of course my store manager is besides herself. kathy the store manager of the greenwood village store was promoted out of my current store. hector our loss prevention guy is giving my district manager shit now and it looks like she might get canned as well. our regional manager has already called the district manager of denver's best buys to let them know that there might be an opening here soon. my boss is pissed because she has been training for the district manager job for five years...

i'm worried because i have my job locked down and that this incedent took place at my old store. sure i din't get a long with kathy and can undrestand the negligence that having someone throw out shit since december might incur....so i worry that i'm going to get a call from our asshole of a L.P. guy to asnwer questions.

i know you all know me and know what kind of guy i am. but when you start accusing me or my skills of something ill gotten i get a wee tad defensive. and right now i feel this is where it all peaks.

so everyone is on edge. blod will spill and heads will roll...
