i had all these good thoughts about what to write about. but that was this afternoon and now hours later i find myself just happy to be out of the room that sophie is crying/ feeding in.
thought of a good motto for my receiving staff "expect the best, plan for the worst" not as good as the one that i pulled out of the ultimates vol 2 trade paper but i misplaced the scrap of paper that i jotted it down on.
i was thinking about the music i listen to and was pondering those bands that fall through the cracks. generally they're those bands that don't fit into a genre that well. like my personal favorate clutch. not quiet metal not quiet rock... i refer to it as good ole southern yankee jam rock... or sam's fav. the mucho rocknroll supersuckers. on rhapsody they're called cow punk. fuck a tour of the supersuckers and clutch would be one of the best shows on earth. god would come down and rock out with everyone and we'd...oh...i digress.
but i've found that the best badns are the ones that can't fit into any one genre. blood hound gang anyone? or me first and the gimmie gimmies? how about the beastie boys. hell even moby jumps all over genres with his kooky techno.
now don't get me wrong. i'm not saying that bands that don't have a genre are all good. hell i think most punk sucks and those kids need to practice in a garage with a running car in it as well.
that korbel commercial with the dancing sunflowers is weird...

I felt sort of half-assed about the 20 questions thing, RECHERCHE's was written so eloquently and all. But there are many days we sit and talk about writing a book. I think collaboratively we have a lot of stories to tell.
