The movie marathon weekend comes to a close, now back to work and school. A wonderful weekend filled with hot sex, dinner at Crazy Burger, 2 new CDs and a Patriots victory! The GF spent the weekend down here for a change (I usually go to Providence for the weekends. It's also the reason I've been away for so long) After cleaning a much neglected kitchen, we attempted to pay my oil bill, but the fuckers were closed, and they don't even have a sign that states their hours of business. We went to Narragansett Disc to see if they had my reserved No Thanks: The '70s Punk Rebellion box set in. No such luck, but I picked up the Damned's Machine Gun Etiquette and Nude & Rude: The best of Iggy Pop, both excellent CDs. Ariana got Cat Power and Rufus Wainwright's new albums. Then we went to Crazy Burger for dinner, and it was great and I ate sooo much, I thought I was gonna puke while eating my Mexican fried ice cream tongue . We decided to hit up Block Buster, and got One Hour Photo, Red Dragon (both great), City Of Lost Children (a new favorite), Kids In The Hall: Brain Candy (hilarious), and Nightstalker, which sucked ass. It was VERY loosely based on serial killer, Richard Ramirez. Visually, it was cool, but it used the same effects too much, and there was no character development, and the character of Ramirez was two dimensional at best. Word to the wise, pass this one up. To think, we decided to rent this over Dawn Of The Dead *shaking head in self-disgust*. Next movie marathon will include Harold And Maude, Punch-Drunk Love, Dawn Of The Dead, Tadpole, and Igby Goes Down. I can't wait...
