Sooo tired. I saw Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King at midnight and it didn't end till 3:20 am this morning. It was amazing. See it as soon as possible. Work sucked so much tonight. I had some woman with two horribly behaved children buy like twenty-five $1 items and then wanted to use her debit card to pay for them. We have two signs that say "Debit and credit cards at back register only." There's one right on the counter where people put their purchases, and one on the price display screen, and at least once a week someone tries to pay for a goddamn $0.75 candy bar or some stupid shit

Anyway, she had a check which I can take, but she can't find her license and her kids, her son especially, were giving her a whole bunch of shit, and I wanted to reach over the counter and slap the kid, especially after he turned on all the plush dogs that sing some Barry White song, and while it was funny the first time, he didn't have to turn on all ten of them. Whatever. Well, she at least knows her license number, so I put the check into the machine and it makes this horrible noise and the check doesn't come back out. No big deal, Mark (boss 1 of 2) showed me how to open the machine, so I do, and the check is seriously stuck. I got it out but ripped a little bit of the edge. Again, no big deal, although there is quite a line forming behind the woman. Fuck 'em, they can wait. The check won't go back in the machine, so I have to go in back and get Joel (boss 2, who I'm convinced either hates me or is apathetic to my presence). It takes him a few minutes to get the check to process and I'm able to ring out the other people, and then the line dissappears, and I can go back to reading my book. It alway seems that people only want to check out when 1). I'm in the middle of taking care of some big dry cleaning order, 2). there's already a big friggin' line, not when I'm sitting there for ten straight minutes doing nothing but reading. Goddamn I hate people. I really want to go to bed but I have art projects to finish so I bid you all goodnight.
p.s. someone please walk me through embedding an image. I still can't figure it out. I think i'm retarded.
