Life repeats itself. It is only when we truly learn from our mistakes that we break the cycle. It is when we get the courage to truly look at ourselves and our willing to see our flaws and the pattern that we can change the cycle and hope for a better tomorrow. Because no matter how many times you read a book the ending is not going to change. If you continue to make the same choices you are going to continue the cycle.
For example, my sister Kim, her first husband was a drug addict who was abusive. She divorced him, and married John. Who was an alcholic and abusive and she left him. She left him. It was about a year later she met husband #3. Guess what? He is abusive.
Not that I have room to talk. When it comes to relationships I find that so many of the times I have repeated a self destructive cycle except when it comes to Irish. He is differnt. He is the dream. He is my baby and I am so in love. Soon we will be married for 1 year. In December we will have been together for 3 years. Hopefully, I can continue this cycle.

I have changed my cycle with men, when I married Hernan. No more abuse. But I seem to get myself in the same rutt when it come to the females in my life. Or maybe that is because I could never love again the way I loved my first.
i hope your sister breaks out of the abusive relationship cycle.
congratulations on your soon to be one year anniversary!
