Today I was thinking of the Sound of Silene. You know the song by Simon and Garfunkle. How incredible the words are when you stop listening to soothing melody and listen to what they say. There are so many songs out there I have never really listen to and when I do am amazed by the poetry of the song.
Good music can transform you to another place and time...
Like the song Against All Odds by Phil Collins. For most it is a love song. For me it is a song that reminds me of my brother leaving for the first time. How he chose his first wife over us and how I wanted him to come back and was waiting for him. 10 years. 10 years after he came back we stop talking to each other because of something stupid I am sure. Now, everytime I hear against all odds ... I think of him.
I could go on and on but I think I am going back to listening to songs. Really listening and thinking of the people who they remind me of.
