I am going to America in 4 days...

...And I'm not coming home for over a month. My life will be in a bag on my back. It's a scary thought.

Over the last 2 years I've thought about upping and leaving so many times and couldn't do it...and now I actually can and am and I'm terrified.

Excited too, but terrified.

There's many things I'm worried about, from ridiculous, materialistic things that don't matter such as:

'What am I going to do without my skinny jeans for a month?

to actual important things like

'What am I going to do without my
Comedian for a month?'

And possibly most importantly -

'What if my iPod breaks?'

You see, there's a lot to think about.

And when I get back....well I won't really have a life. Not a fully formed one anyway because in the year that I've been planning this trip, I never once considered life past the end of June, past the end of my trip.

I guess I'll come back, survey the pieces, see what I've got to work with and go from there.

I do know I have many lovely things and people to come home to though.

So for the time being I should just focus on getting out there....
