Did you pay for your lost subway card w/ a credit card? If so, you can get reimbursed for it (a replacement card, actually), AND they can cancel the lost card!
Don't sweat the portfolio review too much. Often reviewers are intentionally very negative, even if your work is awesome. They're trying to weed people out, and part of that is psychological. It's more important that you believe in yourself!
