So a lot is happening these days, but the majority of it isn't going to be posted about. Some of it isn't appropriate. Some things are better left unsaid. But recently a man pinned my wrists against a wall. That is something I understand. In fact, it felt like maybe the only thing I've ever really understood. Don't try to understand what I'm saying. Sometimes this journal is just for me.
Anyways, how many of you know that my hair is actually curly? Not many of you, I don't think. And you probably didn't know that, speaking strictly in terms of bloodlines, I'm Jewish. Here, we observe the wild semi-jewfro in it's natural habitat:
Scary, huh?
Ok, so here's a rundown of my journal-appropriate news:
~Last Saturday (the 9th?) I went to Venus and got my ears peirced. Cartilage in my left, and a third lobe in my right. The lobe hurt more. Sombody please explain that to me. All the same, Irina = very satisfied.
~Also last Saturday, slobberknocking with SGNY. Always always always a funtabulous time. Irina = joyful.
~The work week was good. A little rough, but mostly good. I LOVE MY JOB SO MUCH. And it looks like there's a tiny chance that i might actually get rehired next year, which is far beyond what I'd hoped for. Also, the director of the school has offered to pay for me to go take a summer seminar at Bank Street, which is a grad school for education. Irina = thankful.
~Thursday, I had a consultation with everyone's favorite monster. I scheduled an actual appointment with him for May 20th. Irina = thrilled!
~Friday, Chitin and I had some lovely tea, and then walked in very large circles for like 4 hours. You are so jealous. Irina = pleased.
~Saturday, NadzOfSteel and I went to the Brooklyn Museum to see the Basquiat exhibit, which was quite interesting. And then afterwards we went to a place called Biscuit for barbequed deliciousness. The day was a perfect balance of cultural refinement and downright messy pigging out (on my part more than his.) This girl sure does love her MEAT. Irina = a carnivorous beast.
~Krrn and I are having a June wedding. You are all cordially invited. Irina = in love. Hubba hubba.
~The rest of the weekend is mostly rather personal, but suffice it to say that Irina = crazy. And maybe a little bit awesome, too.
