Well. Okay. So a certain person who is likely to read this said something to me yesterday that I didn't appreciate. And while I did say something to him, I'm also going to say something here in my journal, so I can avoid having to say it to other people personally in the future. Here's the thing:
Aesthtically speaking, if I want to hear your opinion, I'll ask. Quite often, I'm very sure of myself and comfortable with the way I look. But just as often, I'm not as satisfied with myself. So I already criticize myself plenty; that means YOU DON'T HAVE TO.
Basically, the idea is "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all... unless I ask." Now if I ask, as I did here in SG Hopefuls, then please feel free to say whatever you'd like. In fact, please do leave a comment in my Hopefuls thread if you have criticism for me; I welcome it. Now if you have something positive to say, then feel free to share anywhere, at any time. But don't offer up your negative opinions of me just for the hell of it. If we're having a conversation, I am happy to talk about almost anything; I'm a pretty outspoken person. But the one thing I don't want to hear is what you think of me. Keep it to your fucking self until you are asked to do otherwise.
Does that make sense? I hope it does. But just in case it doesn't, here's the basic idea: if you think I "could lose some weight," that's a perfectly valid opinion. And guess what: I don't fucking care if it's valid, I don't want to hear it. Okay? Okay. Great.
So on a completely different note, someone find me a room in NYC that is $500 or less and is bigger than a breadbox. Go! Do it! Now! I dare you. Either that, or be my benefactor: think Lolita-style, but with some spending cash involved. Any takers?
And also, keep your eyes open for an albino corn snake; one of mine got out of his tank.
