Things that I'd love to see on TV, but no one has the guts to produce...

More documentaries about TV, Movies and Music. I'm not talking Behind the Music or the E1 true Hollywood story here, I'm thinking more a program that talks about the entertainment or the art it's self. For example a show that interviews the people involved in front and behind the camera on a TV show like MASH or Happy Days, or what ever. Just some insight to why a show worked, or what the writers, actors and staff were trying to do with the show.

I'd also love to see a bunch of half hour introduction to .....fill in the blank..... where you get kind of a 101 to the work of an artist. Just think a half hour of people talking about their first time hearing the Ramones, what they like about them and where they think people should start when checking them out. I for one would be watching. I remember when Behind the Music was on and they would have an band that I didn't know anything about on, like badfinger, I'd watch just to see what the band was about, to hear about the music and what not.

Any set of documentaries about an industry should also have something about the history of the people involved behind the scenes, shows about what's locked in the vaults and why old stuff hasn't been re-released in this era where re issues are one of the safe bets in the Music, and DVD industries.

There is a lot that could be done, but people would rather play forced reality than show reality, or even just a slice of that reality....

Notes:
Saw the Von Bondies live the other night, they rocked out, if all you have heard is the albums you are missing out.

Last night I went and saw the original, uncut, undubbed Godzila, which was fairly creepy and really did have a underlying question about the use of science for military application along with the guy in a suit stomping on models and toy cars and trains running around.

Going to LA on Thursday for a Wedding, hope everyone has a good weekend.

Questions?

TV shows from your childhood what do you want to see again and what don't you care to see?

What record would you buy if Reissued?

What was the last band that you heard who blew you away?

I am glad you watched some crappy t.v. How did you like it? Did it relax you or didn't you get to that stage? Oh, and how was La La Land?
