Ed's next move is one of a handful of romantic comedies that I love. it's charming, it's funny, it's sweet and it's not forced or absurd. That's right I like romantic comedies, when they are good.

the plot is boy gets dumped by girlfriend, takes dream job in NYC and meets a new girl. Only there is a wrinkle, she's taken.... sort of. She has this boyfriend that she's been with off and on for a while. She knows he's not the guy she should be with, but she keeps going back to him. Ed is a nice guy and he struggles to connect with this woman.

What I like is that the film is pretty low key, there is no misunderstandings, no forced manipulation of the characters, and no big declaration of love at the end... just two people who are attracted to each other, who seem to want try and have a relationship.

Oh and I think that Callie Thorn is super-cute, and I hope to see her in more quality roles in the future.

notes:

1: what's your favorite Rom-Com and why?
2: why are you looking at/ reading my journal.... I'm jsut wondering who looks at this.
3: Callie Thorn also stared in the last couple of seasons of Homicide: Life on the Street, my all time favorite TV show and I'm going to write about it later when I get to talking about TV
prs2000:
1. hmmm good question. does grosse point blank count as a rom-com?

2. why not? it's good reading. my journals are boring. i'm always looking for something more interesting than my own life smile

3. why is homicide your favorite TV show? i've never seen it...

I'm not sure if it's my favorite rom-com but I gotta say Annie Hall is up there. I like that kind of humor. I like Woody and Diane together. I like that they go back in time to his childhood so we can see why he is the way he is in the movie. I like that it is sort of really how things go sometimes. I read your journals because I find them interesting. You put a lot of thought into what you put out there. Start talking about TV now.
