When i'm at work...and tbh it doesn't *really* involve work.
I've got to pluck the courage up and ask someone that i kind of work with out. She's someone that works of an evening time, and ive only seen her a couple of times, but think shes cute...so what have i got to lose. I asked someone that she works with a few things...what her name is and if shes with someone, and then asked how old she is - shes 19, im 29...little bit eargh...but still gonna ask, whats the worst that could happen. I know she works wednesday evenings, till when i'm not sure; tend to get on with what i need and see her a couple of times, helped her once and she seems nice. Meant to ask her last wednesday, tho was supposed to be doing one thing in re-briefing the spirit aisle, someone didnt turn up so ended up pulling in the delivery instead, and everytime that i saw her she was talking to others she works with, then didnt see her again. (Went in early as well to do the re-brief). Work is a bit funny about having phones/mp3's on the shop floor, but the night managers don't care as long as we hear the tannoy calls and what not, and as long as its after 10pm. So, 10ish i went upstairs and the guy that i asked about her to was upstairs, so i told him i didnt ask her, and why. Asked him if he was in next wednesday (Today) and if she was as well, and that if he could do me a favour and ask her to come over and see me...and then i'll ask. He's said okay, and then i've spoken to my manager, in that i assumed i was doing Promo (i am) and if it was okay for me to come in early again (i can). Told him thanks, and told him to make sure i do something, and if i dont; he could kick my arse.
Turns out she was in Sunday as well, (again, being mad i came in early) but i didn't realise, and could have asked her then; wasn't till a bit later that someone (that is aware of my plans) said she was. D'oh!
O well! We'll have to wait and see. Might actually be genuinely happy at work for a change tonight - should she say yes...if not...Nothing ventured; nothing gained i guess!
