Because I'm terrible at updating my blog normally, and i've put myself in for the SG-UK Secret Santa, its about time i did a new blog...

Its getting to that lovely time of year (read sarcastically) Its not that i'm not a fan of xmas, although im not a "huge" fan of it, but its work that brings me down. Retail blows at xmas time, and it just makes my job even harder, because i get absolutely huge deliveries (which actually started last night), and probably for that reason, i can't wait for new year; back to normality i guess.

I know i've mentioned part of this, in the new year, i'm due to get off of bws, which is great news, as i've done it for 99% of the shifts i've been in for, so to get off of it eventually is awesome, though, there is a sense of "is it really going to happen" running through my head. Spoke to my managers at the start of the year about it and they said it would happen, they said about someone wanting to go on there in june, but this never happened either so...Yea. I'm also considering wanting to be a section leader (supervisor) I've said to my manager that i would, and I was due (am due for) training a few Mondays ago; when i had a few days of holiday - naturally. Said to the boss that i couldnt do the monday, but could do any other day - had no plans other than watching Skindred on the monday...and naturally the training was on a monday. Didn't know about it, and wasn't even told till the day i came back - shocking really. Haven't had a chance to speak to the main boss about it, as he's on holiday till tomorrow, so i'll see whats what when i can speak to him. Have already signed myself up for loads of overtime, so when the new year comes around i should have some money woo. But unlike last year, i'm only doing 5 days a week. Whereas last year and the year before, i was doing 6 nights, and by the friday, i was completely knackered and would get up, eat and go back to bed, only to start it again on the saturday.

Not much is going on atm unfortunately, spending time watching tv and monging out i guess, another fail at working nights i guess, dont get the time to see my friends as much as i want to; that and when i have a night off, i end up sleeping again. Was meant to see the xmas lights go on in town a couple of saturdays ago, but felt too ill, and as my mates have a...4 week old baby (iirc) i thought it was best not to go. Gonna have to organise a day where we can meet up and piss around, can still remember earlier in the year seeing them and wandering down the seafront through the rain (which apparently i called with a rain dance Lol!) such a laugh.

Talking of laughs, its the nights...xmas lunch in a few hours, which is odd as theres a xmas do for work on a saturday night, but its hard/ifnotimpossible to get a saturday night off unless you're lucky, and due to us all working nights, its impossible for us to all get it off, hence a lunch. Should be fun, and its good to see people outside of work.
