I'm not a blogger in that I've never, ever blogged...however I've always wanted to put my observations down somewhere, be they astute or not in the least.
That said, I'm sure this observation has been made before but I'll try it anyway.
This site reminds me a lot of the music business and SG hopefuls are like unsigned bands.
Girls and bands both:
-create "albums" they hope will be adored
-submit their work to the internet
-attempt to garner praise
-become discouraged when it doesn't
-repeat the entire process, hopefully having learned what worked and didn't
Like SG's, there are bands that put out fantastic records that never really see any modicum of success - and for any number of reasons.
It seems like with music, there is no model of success built for this site, and you can't expect to retread the path someone else has taken....just keep putting content out and hope that with each release it gets better.
