Well i'm back.
And thankfully all in (allbeit a more routund) one piece after the monumental road trip that was Xmas with the inlaws (and my folks on Boxing Day!)
At the moment I'm taking a break from writing bloody lesson plans and resisting the urge to play GTA:SA and Halo2.
I've got enough to do without being distracted... oops!
10:50am and all is quiet in cloudy Brightlingsea today - very few people are on these mean streets and the little one's down for a sleep and charlieguru's at work doing what she does (?)
So for xmas I got a couple of nice shirts, and:

Hey it's more than I thought I'd be given, and to be honest, I'd rather not have got anything at all - I mean it's about the giving and shit isn't it?
Speaking of which I made this for Shelly and she liked it. They're based on Gormley's field and each one represents a season that we've been engaged. I presented them in a hand-built presentation box with red tissue paper covering them and made a little book explaining all about Anthony Gormley and added some facts about us as a couple (e.g: how many bags of crisps we've eaten, hours of tv watched etc..!) I also made a promise that I'll make another one as each season passes so we can mark the time spent together.
Posessive? Anal? Neurotic? May-be but, like I said earlier: it's the giving that matters here (and the thought that counts!)
do the right thing...
Spare a thought for the families of missing loved one's, and friends.
My cousin Scott is in Sri Lanka - he missed being right in the middle of this nightmare by and hour and a halk - his flight was delayed in the UK - could've been a close one, and even thought I don't talk to the arrogant bastard much, I sure as hell wouldn't want him to be caught up in this.
