End of the week..!
It has been one hell of a week too!
I was all over the place this week.
For instance Wednesday I was told that I cannot continue to teach at my current school unless I pass my maths skills tests.
So I found out and arranged to take it today (well I kinda had to because there was no other day I can in this area!) So I basically had less than 24 hours to get good at maths... I took it this morning and failed it...
I feel like I've let everyone who's ever had faith in me, down - BIG TIME!
As for the rest, here's how poo things have been this week:
1) the head of expressive arts in my school has turned around and decided to scrap all my Y11 pupils work of 2 years and blamed me for the crapness of it all - she even made me write an apology to them on the white board.
2) i've found out that a Y10 lad in my form has been cutting himself and has a problem with stress... and scars - his arms are a real mess... his parents are talking about skin grafts
3) I broke up a fight between two Y7 boys and it turns out that the aggressor was the victim - he has been bullied for weeks now by the kid he beat up (when I came in to the room he was repeatedly smashing the kids head into the edge of a table). It's a case of enough is enough - the worm that turned! I separated them, but it's a case of - hey kids, good for you, but I couldn't allow myself to say that, or be caught in a situation.
4) there's bad bloody between my family and me (again) at the moment!
5) I really don't know where I stand at work because sooo many people have got the wrong impression of me (they all think that I'm this full-of-it Londoner with ideas waaaay above his station) I dunno, there's times when I dread going in to school - no-one said half the battles are going to be with your colleagues, let alone the kids!
Home this weekend - time for Burnout3 and plenty of other computer games!
Time to wind down Simon...
Excelsior!
