I got dissed maaannnn!

I had my first official NQT observation... and totally ballsed it up.

Here's the horrible points:

1) I was 5mins late to the lesson (queing at the photocopier!)
2) I didn't have a complete lesson plan
3) I encouraged kids to talk about art work, but didn't know the complete historical background to the images myself
4) I didn't deal with two girls who were constantly giggling (to be honest it really didn't bother me!
5) I haven't read the Expressive Arts department handbook (I was given it two days ago!)

However It wasn't all bad news, my mentor was impressed with my classroom management and overall I did give an ok lesson - but I need to learn from this because the next observation goes on my permanent record!!!!

Apart from that, I'm enjoying driving around in our car En-gerl-ands playing tonight (Poland - better win it or Sven's off! ) and I'm sitting here in front of my pc eating a lovely haddock and chips! - aaaahhhhh the benefits of living by the seaside!
