Hi everybody,

Please check out my bands website or NBOBM for details about our forthcoming gigs all over the UK as part of the Bloodstock Femme Fatales tour.

We'll be playing with some fantastic bands on this tour and it will only be 5 to get in at most venues, so for those of you that like your music loud and heavy, please come down....

I thought I'd start early with the gig pimping so it's already listed in SGUK! We got a good turn out last time so hopefully the next one will be as good. smile
perversia:
Oooh...backdrops even! I need to buy some merch off you too! Wont mind a T-shirt and I really should get the new CD! I've got the Bloodstock DVD and love the video.

There's a few who sound interested. Forkandles normally gets to all the gigs so he should be around...we'll just have to see.

I simply can't get over how many amazing sets have gone up recently. I am constantly stunned by how beautiful and cool the sets are. eeek

It's about all that I can do to not spend all day on my PC, posting comments about other people's sets.... wink

Crap - not updated for over a month! eeek

Well, first the bad news - I'm currently off work with flu, so I feel like crap. However, it IS giving me time to update my SG journal! wink

The good news - it's just been confirmed that my band will be touring the UK in March and April this year on the Bloodstock Femmes Fatales tour with...

Hopefully I'll get to see you guys play in the tour...but knowing my luck, I'll be in Manchester when you're in London or something!

Looking forward to being able to spread the word a bit more!

kiss
perversia:
That all sounds great!

When I get the chance to book rooms for next term, I'll try and get 7 May if it fits in with my plans. I'll let you know asap though.

Yesterday was one of those days....

The band was playing in London, so we all got organised, hired the trailer, packed the equipment, on the road by midday, all was going swimmingly....

And then the van breaks down 5 miles from the bleeding venue!!!! ARGH!!!! mad

The ONLY way that the breakdown people could resolve it was to take us 200 miles back UP the motorway...

PS You know I'm interested in doing the Street Team if you need me to! I can do London during term time and Manchester when I'm home! I sent an e-mail but I never got anything back.
ladywook:
Cool, just signed up for the street team thing. Hope I can do something for you guys up here.

Know what you mean about the Megadeth lineup. I think if I had seen them on that tour I would have second thoughts myself. That old lineup was the best. The last time I actually had a chance to see them was in 97 or 98 but I had no one to go with so I skipped it (stupid me). But this time I won't miss it

Think that's the biggest prob I have, finding someone who will go with me to the gigs. My hubby will only go if he really likes them and knows most songs. Me, well, I go because you never know what a great band you'll find. That's what happened to me at the Iced Earth show. Evergrey opened up for them, never heard of them, but after that show I was hooked.

This past 2 weeks I have been mostly going to gigs:

Slayer & Slipknot
Lloyd Cole & the Commotions
The Wonderstuff
Oceansize

What a nice eclectic bunch of bands! smile

Due to spending most of my time at gigs, the rest of the time I have been partially deaf and recovering! wink

Haven't written for weeks - gigged/worked/stressed out.... whatever

Got a week booked off work soon though - a bit of R&R won't go amiss! Any suggestions? A beach, warm sea and a hammock preferably, with hot and cold running alcohol.... wink

seda:
I posted a new journal entry. Perhaps you would enjoy the read.

I love you all. No, truly, I do.

Thanks for all of the cool birthday wishes and stuff. You really are the best.

I fell VERY good today....

Bloody hell! I've just realised that I'm always complaining about being tired in this journal! I sound like I'm about 104!! Perhaps it's just old age. Or my rock and roll lifestyle catching up with me! whatever

I think that seeing as it's my 29th birthday in a week or two, I'd better slow down a bit. Smell the roses. Get some carpet slippers and a...

Thanks to Perversia and Wrathchild for coming down to our gig last Saturday. Lots of brownie points for you (and I might even buy you a beer if you do it again....)!

And thanks to these guys, LIQUID SKY will soon be back in the big smoke, live in front of your naked eyes and ears.... Watch this space!

smile

wrathchild:
After that performance I'll be along to all of your gigs in Manchester!! It was really cool meeting you, I would have introduced myself earlier in the night but we turned up just as you went on with Shadowplay (who were also awesome!!).
perversia:
Very happy to see you guys again and of course I'll try and make it to some of your other gigs over the summer!

Saw Nightwish in Bradford last night. They were fantastic - best gig I've been to in a while. Kind of gives me a few ideas as well - perhaps Scandinavian-influenced metal is the way forward....?

We REALLY need to start getting more gigs like this in the UK....

smile

brogan:
wow you live waaaay2near2me biggrin we need more gigs full stop i somehow seem2miss them all whatever
daisie:
*is jealous* everyone seems to have gone to see Nightwish apart from me, bet it was wicked though!

After today, I shall have no good sport to watch on TV for a while.... Does this mean I'm actually going to have to go out of the house?!

Roll on 15th August! smile

Got a bit of down-time from gigging at the moment - at least it means I'm not hairing up and down the motorways of the country like a headless chicken! Also it's...

I think perhaps that have been burning the candle at both ends and quite possibly in the middle as well....

Trying to do a day job AND be in two bands AND trying to have a normal social life as well is finally taking its toll. Or perhaps it's just me - I am getting on a bit after all! wink

Had a cool gig in...

I'll send you an e-mail when the dates are confimed but it's looking like the 6th of November or the 27th November. I also know someone who might be able to arrange a gig for you the night before. Also, don't worry too much about somewhere to stay coz as long as you don't mind doubling up or sleeping on floors, there will be plently of room for you to stay and mine and Wrathchild's.
morticiajet:
just checking if u have sent the demo yet?
i'll be finalising everything tomorro if u have so u'll get an e-mail off me sunday
