So I just got the word that my two best friends are divorcing. All of these relationships falling apart or strangling in the cradle leads me to wonder what it is that keeps two people interested in one another.

I've always been the sucker in every relationship, in that I've always been the one to have to get over her after the fact because she got over it and left. So I'm unacquainted with the feeling of being in a relationship that I don't want to be in.

This warrants further investigation.
