Okay, I haven't been on for like six months. Maybe the real world had some brief temptation for me, but I'm ready to embrace the pasty, pathetic internet nerd life I was destined for.

the Love of My Life came blowing back about six months ago, as she does every so often. Things were good for a while. She came to visit, and we had a pretty good time. Learned about a skill I never knew I had. We started talking about the future. There was excitement.

Now she's back in Tacoma and happy as a clam without me. She has a job that pays well and that she loves. A second job that pays also very well. Friends, stability, contentment. Some douchebag boyfriend. Everything a girl could want. Good for her.

Meanwhile, I still have a thesis to finish, Grad school rejection letters rolling in like a gentle breeze, and a shitty job that I hate but can't seem to get away from.

I am back because I am lonely and desperate for some validation.
