The cat under the chair
And the cat under the bed
Are brothers.
The cat under the bed
Has an elephant toy
That goes
Squeak Squeak Squeak.
The cat under the chair
Has a rabbit toy
That goes
Zing Ding Ding.
The cat under the chair
Likes his ears scratched
Just before dinner.
The cat under the bed
Likes his coat combed
When it’s cold
And snowy.
The cat under the bed
Has long whiskers
And a spot of white
On the tip
Of his tail.
The cat under the chair
Has little whiskers
And a soft
Grayish
Tail.
The cat under the chair
Will come out
To stare at himself
In the TV set.
The cat under the bed
Likes to grab
At the feet
Of people
Walking by.
The cat under the bed
Looks mostly bored
Most of the day
The cat under the chair
Has eyes that glow
Most of the night.
And at midnight
When everyone is asleep
The cat under the chair
And the cat under the bed
Meet in the living room
Where they
Jump
And play
And fight.
