So, its come to my attention that i have been a fairly neglectful and lazy blogger lately.
Mostly, this is because i lead a very boring life...but its also because i haven't had the most reliable interwebz connections and my old reliable lappy took a shit (so i got a new one).
In the last month i managed to:
* Herniate 2 discs in my back (NOT fun)
* Get results from the doctor on what may have been a huge pain in my ass for the last 10 years (aside from the endometryosis)..
I have Lupus with secondary Sjorgens.
They finally did an ANA panel after seeing several docs over the span of 10 years with unexplained symptoms...weird allergies developing, and a myriad of confusing symptoms.
They've put me on low dose prednisone and i have physical therapy, as well as other drugs to help with the brain fog and some of the mental status stuff that goes along with this illness.
and over the last 30 days my symptoms have improved to a point that i can say (even though i do have symptoms every day) that this is the best I've felt in maybe over a decade.
I'm out walking every day, the days are getting longer...I've been feeling like getting my bike fixed and actually riding it. With the subtle slave driving of my physical therapist i've gotten my balance back. With the help of the prednisone my body feels so much better than it has in 10+years. My back still hurts, but at least it didnt need surgery, and i was able to get the discs to recede with meds and therapy.
Other than that? i'm still living the good life.
