Thanks everyone for the well wishes!!!!!

I completely neglected to mention where in Minnesota i'll be living...which was dumb on my part...

I'll be living in Grand Marais. Its about an hour from the Canadian border...and a good days drive into Toronto. I'm excited....

very scared and head is spinning...but excited.

I'll be living in a lovely 2 bedroom apartment that looks out over Lake Superior...the waves crashing in on the rocks...everything.

This is the smaller interior lake i've been staying on...so when i walk down to the dock with my coffee in the AM...this is what i wake up to.




In the winter i'll be waking up to this...



and its entirely possible that instead of taking a car to work, i'll have to take my new snowmobile.

(a friend up here gave me an old one of hers to use cause she won a new one in a raffle...they're kind of essential up here).

I'm going to buy a 4 wheel drive vehicle and trade in this useless sports car.

Anyone wanna do a car for truck trade?

to get to my friends resort and bogart their sauna.

i'm so unbelievably excited right now.

I've never lived anywhere independently. For the last few years, there has always been a man in my life...which for me has meant that there's been some asshole beating on me, telling me I'm a horrid person and just generally being a huge dick. There was one exception to that...but i blew it with him at the time because of my own immature stupidity.

I'm still in love with that one too (but for the sake of me not being an emo douche..i'm going to not mention any names...though i'm sure he knows who he is).

I started my morning today doing Yoga and Akido out on the dock...then i had a sauna and a nice shower. Its currently 9:41 and I have the whole day ahead of me to do pretty much whatever i want. Its sunday, and i believe we're going into town. I'll probably get a slice of Pizza at
Sven and Oles which happens to be the only pizza place within 120 miles..lol.

Then i'm probably going to browse the local art galleries..and talk to some of them about selling some of my goods at the craft fair for the solstice festival.

I had to lose everything i had to get halfway to where i wanted to be...twice. God i'm a stubborn bitch sometimes...but stuff is just stuff.

My apartment will be empty...i'll be garage sailing..but i have my sewing machine..my yarn...and my newfound sense of self to keep me company.

Love to all...and if i'm not on much this week..it will be because i'm starting work and moving my shit 950 miles north .
