Things i must do today Regardless...
* Finish a dress for a 15 year old punker chick who i have adopted as my surrogate niece.
* Finish my mothers quilt, and the purses.
* PLAY SOME FUCKING WOW...cause i misses it.
I want to get a doggie...cause i misses my doggies i had at my parents.
The one on the left is Auggie (my parents dog) and the one on the Right is Duke...Duke belongs to my brother.
Awesome thing i learned?
In Indiana with IPL you can designate how much of your personal home electricity you want to come from viable, renewable energy resources (I am now at 100%)...
We are having one of the coldest winters on record here (its 2 degrees here today.....2)
I just spent a bunch of time yesterday insulating the water heater, winterizing the windows, and of course paying my first utility bills (OUCH gas).
I will have a guest after new years for an indeterminate amount of time...he's going to be working for us. That should help with bills..and with him being a chef, that should help with me not having to cook all the time..every meal. The guy is kind of like my adopted uncle from the mother ship. We'll see how this goes..he's been out of work in De Kalb for over 3 months...and he has a wife and kid. His wife can't find a job either. I'm in a position to do something to positively impact the lives of 3 other people...one of which being the ever so awesome Ava (the 3 year old ballerina with blonde pigtails). What can i say. I'm a sucker for that whole being a good person thing.
Times are getting depressing. I started saving change in a giant pickle jar. That's the weekly grocery money. Anyone who comes over and has a meal and throws spare change in it...is awesome. I wish we had a wood burning stove like my girl Jen and her guy Mr. Legion.
Speaking of the great Legion...people should all go buy his AMAZING WOODEN NAUGHTY PIECES (see here for refrence). The man takes the art very seriously, they are all hand made, with each piece being unique.
