Hurricanes suck!!!
The successive anal rape by two hurricanes in a month have sealed the deal...I'm going back to Colorado. At least there, nature doesn't inconvenience you as much. You either love it or it kills you... no middle ground. Here, you get in a hurricane, and the whole world comes to a halt. You lose power for 12 days (you try living in FL with no AC) then, just when you're getting back on your feet, wham! another one hits. This one, admittedly, not as bad (at my house), but again, the whole world comes to a halt. We have a curfew at dusk and nothing in this town is open. Oh, and look, we have another hurricane coming this way...oh, please Ivan, right this way...let me just bend over for you...
<sigh>...I'm such a whiner

It's not that close to you, but Stardust in Winter Park is a great refuge for internet access when the power is out. Hopefully we won't need it for Ivan, but it's a cool place nonetheless.
