Alright, I never update this thing, I know... But I'm getting a little sick and tired of seeing that previous post up there every time I come on this site. It's a little depressing and it's completely irrelevant. Suffice it to say, the situation has been resolved and things are good.
I'm in the process of making a move from cold wintery Canada to beautiful sunny west coast California. I'm looking to maybe start a Ph.D there next year. Hopefully at Stanford working on ants and trying to figure out how and why they do the things they do. That would be awesome. I've been wanting to work on ant behaviour (I guess I should spell that behavior from now on!) forever. Unfortunately, I cant move until probably January or even later...
In the meanwhile though, I'm going out there for 2 weeks at the end of the month to meet with a couple of profs and maybe a few people that might have some work for me. That should be pretty awesome! We're also planning road trips on the coast up to Oregon and down south to Tucson AZ. Maybe a little time in SF, some drinking out in wine country (probably Sonoma). Oh yeah!
