I hate being sick, it gets me in a bad mood... For the past two weeks I have been mostly in bed, going to work sporadically, and avoiding everyone, except my boyfriend who was also sick. Even though, we were stuck together in the apartment for all that time, we didn't get to each other's nerves. Still, we decided to spend the night apart from each other, just in case.
Starting next Wednesday I will be on vacation. In Puerto Rico, Christmas is extremely long. We start celebrating on Turkey Day, and we keep on celebrating until after Three Kings Day (January 6th). We even have something called Octavitas, which are the eight days following January 6th. It's another excuse to keep on partying. That means that I don't have to go back to work until mid January.
I'm supposed to keep on working on my master's thesis during Christmas break, but I don't think that's going to happen. Three friends are going to be visiting the island, including my friend Rafael, whom I haven't seen in FIVE years. We have a lot of catching up to do, which means we are going to be partying A LOT. That scares me a bit I can't take it as I used to.
