Ok, so it seems I haven't 'failed' in the true sense of the word. I emailed my department tutor and he said just to continue on as usual and try harder this semester. Basically, I don't qualify for a resit as I didn't get less than 30%, or fail the year (well the year isn't over till June so I guess I still could fail, but only if I get less than 30% in a module in June, or obtain less than 100 credits overall for the year-which would involve getting less than 40% in more than one module in summer-hopefully that won't happen!!)

So, it's business as usual and better luck next time!
