Yikes. It's been a while. Sorry, folks, the end of the semester got really busy for me, and, well, I just didn't keep up with things the way I wanted to...

How's everybody doing? I'll be leaving for Texas in a couple of days, so the trend of me keeping out of touch will continue...
aldremech:
Same old story here man. Just trying to keep the proverbial head above water. surreal
schmooziesan:

I'm currently in Chicago, just doing Chicago-y things. Actually, Maya's got a conference and I'm tagging along to sightsee and meet up with some friends of mine who moved here from Arizona.

In the meantime, though, I'm working on a class project-doing a mathematical decision analysis based on probability theory and utility theory to determine if it's better to: a) shop at the grocery store...

There are now pictures of me up on the internets somewheres, with skeletal makeup on. Apparently, I look good as a skeleton. Who knew?

Ok, back to work.
aldremech:
I am still having a hard time with the city moving the parade to the next weekend. Seems a little odd to have a holiday celebration on a different day confused

Heard it was good though. smile
limbofish:

So, I'm very excited about the All Soul's Procession. This totally kicked Halloween in the ass last year.

Group projects are frustrating, blah.

Just got a whole bunch of new board games that I'm itching to play. Fluxx, Zombie Fluxx, Zombies!!! and Zombies!!! 3, Mall Walkers. Also, this game that my friend designed called "Cornerstone" (you can find info for it here). Pretty geekalicious. Although, seriously, check out Cornerstone. It's like Jenga meets Checkers.

I think I'm over the irritability. Maybe going back to school was a bad idea, but I'm going to see it through, at least through this academic year anyway (ending in May). I am actually learning a lot so that's good.

I found out that the woman who tattooed the digits of pi on my arm is displaying her artwork on a website (as well...

This class is just making me into one big ball of anger. The professor is demanding a LOT (2 "group" project pieces due on Monday, one extra homework due on Monday, the regularly-assigned homework due on Wednesday), and I think he wants it done in Excel. Well, Excel is fighting with me. For one, it doesn't seem to think that you can raise negative numbers...

Thanks for congratulating me. It feels to be completed.

You should just take your computer out to dinner and have a serious conversation about expecttions. It will be better for both of you in you know exactly to expect from on another. wink

Kee-rist. I just wish my classes would slow down a little. I get it, I'm doing ok, I'm just swamped and working all the time.

Plus, I'm going to ring doorbells reminding people to vote on Saturday. After that, bicycle class, after that, Battlestar Galactica. These plans were made months ago, and I've just been lazy. No one to blame but me. Oh and my...

The prank wrapped up this afternoon. The first words out of Tony's mouth were:
"I can't fucking believe you used my own camera to get me!"

He reacted even better than any of us thought. And I caught it all on film.

In other news, I just had Mexican Coca-Cola with real sugar, and not high-fructose corn syrup. Jesus, if soda tasted like that all...
