My uncle, and my mother's only full sibling, died tonight. He had metastasized throat cancer. The family had been expecting it to a degree, but you never fully expect it. And he was reacting well to chemo. My poor mother. My poor aunt.

sorry about your uncle. i have 2 friends dealing with cancer right now (one has it & one's mom just passed), it feels like it's an epidemic...
