I'm having a hell of a time finding a) a barbershop (I badly need a haircut) and b) a bike shop.

I'm looking on yelp.com, but yelp's reviewers are mostly (though not always) white folks about my age. Fine and well, since I'm a white folk about my age (though early US immigration laws my disagree, it's hard to argue with skin tone), but that does tend to ignore all of the non-hip options in a neighborhood. This is more a problem for the barbershops. And the non-hip options aren't much cheaper.

Bike shops on the other hand seem to be highly regarded if they specialize in stuff for hipster fixie projects. If you're looking for a bike with multiple gears (a must in SF, since we got hills here, y'know), well, there's not a whole hell of a lot for you. No doubt I'll come across something soon (actually, I have one place in mind, but it's only open 6-9 pm on weekdays).

Still-wandered around Haight-Ashbury on Monday, Chinatown yesterday, and I'm heading over to the MoMA today, as well as the museum of cartoon art.
