So the guy I saw writing porn was fired yesterday. The boss actually used the word "terminated". Anyway, apparently, he'd violated one of the company's "zero-tolerance" policies. As far as I can tell, short of anything totally illegal (embezzelment; murder; drug dealing) that means he:

1) Showed up to work high or drunk.
2) Showed up to work with a weapon (and not a utility knife-there's a special allowance for those, and we all have one)
3) Looked at porn on his work computer.

Rumor-wise, I'm going with (3). How do I feel about this? On the one hand, it's just porn, so it shouldn't have been as big a deal and he shouldn't have been fired. On the other hand, they make it pretty clear at the moment of employment that they don't allow it. So, yeah, it's an overly harsh rule, but they're clear about it and he broke it anyway (though I can see how porn would "hurt workplace porductivity"). Speaking of work... see y'all in about 8 hours.

Yup, 'twas the porn got him fired. Poor guy. Even worse, I've got to do his job as well as mine while they find a replacement.

EVEN LATER (although not much):
I had a dream last night where I was dead and on a spaceship. Much like Kai in "Lexx", except without the assassin part. I remember going out into the void of space and only getting moderately cold. Everyone else sort of avoided me the entire dream. I remember that something was eating at my stomach, in the dream. I woke up with nasty stomach cramps.
