Gulf Coast University is..... small. And relatively empty.

Personally? I don't think I could go to school there. It's too South Floridian faux-Art Deco Metallic and it doesn't seem to offer much in the way of scenery. I need bricks and old, wooden furniture with sinky cushions. But Missy seems to really like it, and it's close enough to home that she can visit my folks on the weekends if she likes. We drove around for a few hours yesterday and had lunch at a beachy restaurant, then wandered the local shopping hotspot to see if she'd be able to survive without an Old Navy. We spent a good portion of our time trying on clownish sunglasses in Saks 5th Avenue and laughing at their grotesquely inflated prices.

Upon arriving home, I immediately sought out the spare bathroom where I keep my whisker clippers. Possessed of a will outside my own, I switched them on and touched them to my face, gouging a patch of fur and making it impossible to turn back. I sometimes do that.... the hard part, after all, is stepping out of the plane. After that, gravity does all the work.

so, now I'm a shaved ape.
