Today I had a day that will always live in my memory. Driving to an appointment today, I turn the corner onto another road. I start to serpentine up the side of the hill. Coming the other way is a police car. I slow down when the police car turn horizontal on the road facing up the hill. The offers climb out in a hurry, guns drawn and looking up the hill into a wooded area and some fenced backyards. One of the officers signals me to stay still as he stares up the hill. Quickly three more cars arrive and I’ve got cars on three sides now as almost a dozen armed officers stare up the hill. I can hear that they have surrounded two fugitives in the back yard just 50 ft up the hill from me. After a quick scuffle they apprehend one of the guys with a taser. Two more unmarked cars show up and more armed officers jump out. I was stuck front row in something serious before they managed the get myself and the three civilian cars behind me out of there. I’m not sure the specifics, but it sounds like there had been a shooting and the two responsible where who the police were after.
