This morning I woke up to my boyfriend holding me and hugging me. He was whispering different things in my ear, thinking I was asleep. I caught:
"You're the most amazing woman I've ever met. I love you with all my heart. Please don't ever leave me. I couldn't bear it."
I played the sleepy role for a few minutes to hear a little more because once he realized I was stirring, he stopped talking. Earlier, I was talking to him on the phone and I mentioned how sweet he was this morning. He was surprised I remembered any of it and said he thought I was asleep. I told him I was faking it to hear more of his sweet whispers in my ear. He got kind quiet and said,
"I'm sorry... I just have to tell you how I feel and get that kind of stuff out sometimes... that seemed like a good time to do it."
When I was asleep. How very guy... isn't that cute?
