You know why? Everything that I'm qualified for that pays any kind of reasonable money is either in Seattle or one its suburbs. And if my interview in Kent on Monday is any indication, people are very hesitant to give me a call about jobs because I'm in Portland. I'm not asking you to pay for my move, or asking you to be flexible about start dates or anything else. I'll drive up for an interview, I'll come back again, and I can all but move in a weekend. If I have to, I'll load up my bike with enough clothes for a week, find some furnished weekly rental, and work before I've moved. Just give me a fucking chance already. I'm awesome!
