This is just beautiful:

Amazing Driving in SF

i love and hate this video at the same time. Only two places I've ever been homesick for: Wyoming and San Francisco. I know why I left the former, but I'm still baffled about the latter. New York ended up sucking, though I guess it was a chance I had to take. I'll move back to SF one of these days I swear. Life wasn't that great there, but I miss that city terribly. Learned a whole lot about myself, met dozens of interesting people, had some opportunities, and had world-class views for two years.

Watching the sun set behind the Golden Gate Bridge? Listening to the light house on Alcatraz late at night when the wind stops and whole bay and city are so still you think the bay is a big lake? Watching as Angel Island burned? Waking up after the container ship hit the Bay Bridge and smelling gas? Going to Ocean Beach and waking south down the beach as the sun set for so long and so far that, when the beach ended in cliffs and I had to climb up, I found out I was in Daly City (and where the hell is Daly City anyway? My feet were too sore to stand on for three days after that)? My favorite place in the city, Pier 14? Finding the Coast Guard (I think) memorial in Golden Gate Park on President's Day just after the fog rolled out and I could see the Northern Cali coast line? Seeing my first show at the Fillmore (the Fratellis!), being offered an apple as I walked in, staring at the pictures of bands that had played there, and the huge mural of the Grateful Dead (or was it just Jerry Garcia?) in the stair well? So many more.

Yeah. I miss you San Francisco.
viking:
Yeah, you're right! I don't know why it bothers me.

I love San Francisco, it speaks of legends! But I failed to see the Grateful Dead mural, booooooo.
