i went for a ride yesterday for the first time in four months. just 20 miles down to battery park and back (theyve made a lot of progress on the wtc towers since i last saw them). never in my life have my legs been that weak. there are two really small hills on the way back. i had to walk up the second one. i had a few when i got home and laughed every time i walked by my bike.
im apparently a professional job applicant now. six of the last nine months unemployed. this is my last month in new york. unemployment insurance is about up and my lease ends at the end of march. hoping my next move is to portland or back to sf. ill take moving to boston or dc though. honestly, anything to get me out of here. two miserable years in new york.
packing and trying to plan. thinking about trying to make it in portland for a month or two. should have the money. well see.
*edit: seriously, why the hell do i need to fill out a special application for each and every job? and why do i have to reenter the information on my resume into three different other forms? makes a process that should take 20 minutes take an hour and a half.
