four days after that email and i still havent heard about this job. i understand that they werent in a hurry to hire anyone, and they told me that from the onset. still, the first in person interview was three weeks ago today. mentally going to write the place off, just so i dont go mad. its going from the frying pan into the fire though as i havent heard anything from anywhere else. beginning to think i wont find anything before the state tit runs dry.
i spent an hour on my new rollers last night. i cant remember the last time i sweated that much, especially for that little effort. going to have to see about a magnetic resistance unit for it. at the end of the hour i was spinning in my highest gear going 30 mph. unless im going down hill, id never go that fast outside.
speaking of,there was an interesting quote about central park in an article i happened across today:
New Yorks green lung, Central Park, is another top spot for freewheeling fun in the heart of the city. I often escape to the park on Sundays, says Chris Clement. Cars are banned at the weekend, so its a totally fumefree experience. Exploring 340 hectares of woodland, waterfalls, lawns and lakes, you totally forget that youre surrounded by eight million other New Yorkers.
the one thing i dont forget when im in the park on the weekend is that im surrounded by 8 million people, since a large number of them also pour into the park. its especially hard to forget about them when im weaving through everyone riding either 5mph or riding the wrong way around the park loop.
thats all.

3darknights:
Hope you hear back about the job, and I know what you mean about slow riders clogging up the bike lanes. It's called the right, move over to it!
