kinda tired of seeing the same lines from a year ago every time i click my profile.

i moved to new york last november, via a five day drive alone in a uhaul with all my stuff. though i have yet to make barely any friends, i have made more habit changes in the last 10 months than i have probably ever. quit smoking, bought a road bike and got back into some semblance of shape, started eating significantly more healthy, and im shopping around craigslist for an entry level electric guitar. i finally got laid after a three year (mostly self imposed) drought.

my body has been doing all sorts of crazy shit, and ive seen plenty of doctors lately. dislocated my shoulder in a crash with a mountain biker and tore my labrum while i was at it. couple of months of physical therapy hasnt done much to improve my shoulders condition. surgery is probably in the offing eventually. be the first time outside of my wisdom teeth that ill go under the knife for anything.

saw the first of my friends get married, went home to see my family for the first time in two years, saw snow for the first time in three years, saw my old college friends for the first time in two years.

next up: buying and learning to play guitar, thanksgiving and christmas alone in new york, tickets to see a bunch of bands ive been dying to see, and finishing fixing my body. looking forward my first fall since i left michigan.

overall, things are good, and im rather happy.
