A) You need to join the College Football group. You know, to support your boys until the wheels come off in October. Again. 
B) Do NOT get too upset about what happens during class in the first year. No professor will dock you for not doing well on a cold call when it comes down to your actual grade. All of that is meaningless. Just concentrate on trying to understand the thought process of the cases you read and you'll be fine.

At Hastings we called them "Gunners". I've also heard them described as "Classholes".
Here's a fun game idea: "Gunner Bingo". Write the name of all of the gunners in your section on a bingo card. When they raise their hands, you check them off. First person to get bingo has to raise their hand to answer a question. Extra difficulty if you want to make the rules that you have to work the word "Bingo" into your answer.
