Waiting For The Moon To Rise
I look over to her, we have been here for hours in each others arms it seems, its amazing how time seems to slow down at those near perfect times in your life when the closeness of some one else's company is just enough to make you smile. Her eyelids heavy from a day spent dreaming of the future and what's to come, dreams she has never shared with anyone but the lonely nights looking out under the stars. I get up and start getting ready for class, careful not to wake her. As I try to get up from the bed she reaches over me with her right arm embracing me within her loving arms. It's only been a few minuets but I missed the feeling and if I don't do something soon I won't ever make it to class on time. I pull her arm off of me and let it fall gently down between us allowing me a chance to get up and out of the softness of the bed.
Looking down at her I see this small smile creep across her face and it makes me think of all those wonderful memories we've shared with each other over the last couple months, I lean down and kiss her a soft kiss on the cheek and pull up the blanket to keep her warm while I am way. The radio is playing "Round Here" by the Counting Crows and I start feeling like I am stuck in a dream and everything in this one moment couldn't be this perfect and I realize that my missing shoe is lost among the sheets of my bed. With a simple sigh I snatch it up from its hiding spot and head out of my room closing the door behind me. It's 10 o'clock and class starts in about half and hour. I open my fridge to see a half-full container of orange juice and pour myself a glass. I pull out a piece of paper and begin writing out a note to Jessica
Darling
I had to get up and go to classand I didn't want to wake you
Make yourself at home and I will see you when I get out of class
Love always
