So updates on the Children's Book

It's going to be a mystery centered around Omaha's "Saddle Creek Records"
I think I am going with "Who Stole The Pedal Steel" instead of "It Was A Pedal Steel"

Basic plot: Mike Mogis (Producer) has his Pedal Steel stolen from him in the night, Tim Kasher (Cursive, The Good Life) is the man he trusts to find out who took the missing instrument. Through out the book Tim Kasher encounters various other Saddle Creek bands.

So I am thinking its something that Saddle Creek members could read their Children some day if they have any. I realize only a select few will like this but it could be a fun little cult following book. But maybe if I do a good job and everyone I satire gives the okay for this book and it comes out good then maybe it can be a decent children's book as well.

Influences would have to be like Clue Jr. Nate The Great. Though I would rather it be a picture book. I have to figure out what age group to aim it for still but I want to take this silly idea and actually make it into something sort of cool
