On The Edge Of Town

Charles and I sat alone on the edge of town, smoke blowing in the wind as eyes were focused tightly on the city streets below, his words stuck with me as I realized this place will always be my home in some way shape or form, try as I like I will never be able to change it, the impressions people have made and the stories that they will leave with you, as you leave them. Closing the book and walking away, this is not just some bullshit escape to overcome this beaten path, its about the search for some one, or something more, its about becoming what you never were able to become. It's night like these when a few words can change where you've been and where you will go.

Its ironic, cause I listen to a lot of Saddle Creek band and almost every song is like how they cant wait to get out of Omaha and here I am trying to get in.

I dont know what it was that caught my eye but something there was home. Something there clicked for me and it was the wierdest feeling cause I didnt want to leave. Omaha has become sort of my muse and its a tad lame and silly I know

Blankets Of Snow

And the stars hung down around are shoulders, as we listen to the beat of our own hearts, we were only a few feet from your house, but it felt like miles away, contrasted by the shade of the cool trees, I could count everyone of those stars, I love lamp and desk, and holding hands in the dark, laughter of children as it creates a full house. Curled up next to pillows, cause youre a foot away and I am already lost in your smile.
