Gosh, Playing cable tech was fun. I had to open up my wall sockets to fix my internet and phone connection. I almost called the internet suppliers tech help, but then noticed that the phone next to the computer wasn't working either, but all the other phones in the house were ok. one thing led to another, and I found myselfe hunched under the desk, philips in my hand, wrraping cables and other shit togethre. and it worked

Jerusalem beer festival!
it was held for two days, Wednesday and Thursday. I had a birthday dinner party for a friend on Wednesday, so came only to the second day.

I met up with MisaMisa in the central bus station, got my copy of Heavy metal :
we got to the park holding the festival, and after waiting in line for 40~ minutes, the organizers got the OK from the police and started selling tickets. in line I met with friend from the bar (RIP), and a couple of Schweitz's friend. he was stuck in base for the weekend
so, we got in early and started drinking had some green goblin )(more on this one late) some boutique home brew type beers from all over Israel. then after one more imported beer (one of the Belgians i think) we had to go out and get some more money from an ATM. MisaMisa made me come with her to the MacDonalds ( ), so I got the salad, she had some junk. and I took this picture :


back to the park, we had some more strong beers, said Hi to the bartender Schweitz and I talked to when were at the Mia bar at their stand:

Marlboro erected a temple of cancer and death, that is a two stories building for the promotion of cancer sticks.

another happy encounter was with Ori, who I haven't seen for ages. she just moved in to her new apartment in Jerusalem that day. she got a good deal for that place, right in the middle of the down town area. her studies in Betzalel school of arts starts in a month or two.

the main show was a band called "Shotey hanevuav" (fool of the prophacy), a Hebrew-new-age-Dub group, that's quite successful here.
their stuff aren't that bad:

going through youtube made me realize that i kinda like them too bad most of the videos there are either fan made, or bad quality

but I think you really need to know Hebrew in order to genuinely appreciate their music. the combine so many things into it- traditional Jewish music and prayers, Kabalistic tradition, Dub and Ragge, and some Rastafarian beliefs, all put together with superb language. taking high level Hebrew and new-age & India trekker language of the young Israeli people.

Where was I? oh, Beer. MisaMisa went off to her BF, I got to mmet some army buddys, nighbours and all sorts of good people here some more picture:

on other news, My regular bar closed up, (bought by a bunch of Ethiopian guys. good luck to them with the problematic location, city taxes and all the other crap that location had. the bar main bartender made a bigger counter offer but as a friend, the owner couldn't to it to him, so Yechi (the bartender) is opening his own place in two weeks. If you stumble into Jerusalem, hop over to the Blaze rock Bar!
